The Joe Biden Accusation And The Left’s Hypocrisy

With the Coronavirus stuff being the center of the news cycle right now, it is easy for other pieces of news to go under the radar. One these pieces of news that have gone unnoticed is a sexual assault allegation against Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden. Here are the details of the allegation. Basically, a woman named Tara Reade alleges that in 1993, Joe Biden threw her against the wall and proceeded to put his hands up her skirt and up her shirt.

“There was no exchange, really, he just had me up against the wall,” she said to podcast host Katie Halper in March 2020.

Three people have come forward to corroborate Ms Reade’s claim, her brother, a former neighbor, and a former colleague. Her former neighbor, Lynda LaCasse, said this to Business Insider.

“This happened, and I know it did because I remember talking about it.”

As we know, Joe Biden has a history of being overly touchy towards women. There are several accusations, alleging as much. With that said, while the allegation has some corroborating evidence, we don’t 100% know for sure that this happened. The most infuriating part is how Democrats and the media have responded to this.

Do you guys remember Brett Kavanagh? You know the guy who was nominated to sit on the Supreme Court, and was falsely accused of sexual assault and sexual harassment. As it turns out, there was NO corroborating evidence supporting the claim that Kavanagh was a serial sexual abuser, NONE. Of course, this didn’t stop the democratic and the media from making a complete fool of themselves. Piece after piece was published about Kavanagh in the New York Times, and The Washington Post, suggesting that Kavanagh is still guilty, even without evidence, and should not sit on the court. Democrats participated is some disgusting partisan politics to stop Kavanagh in order to protect things like abortion. To this day, I consider this to be the worst political smear in my lifetime and it’s not really close. The reason that I bring this up is because the media and democrats have pretty much ignored the allegations against Biden, or are at least downplaying it.

To contrast the difference between the media coverage of Kavanagh and Biden, I’m going to put down two pieces from The New York Times, one about Kavanagh and one about Biden. The Kavanagh piece is titled as such, How Brett Kavanagh Failed by: The Editorial Board of The New York Times. Here’s what it says.

The nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, as much as any development in the challenging era of Donald Trump, is testing America’s politicians and its civic institutions. Few, so far, have met the test.

Not Republican senators, who, after denying one president his legitimate authority to appoint a justice to the Supreme Court, are now rushing their own nominee through, uninterested in the truth, while weeping crocodile tears about other people’s partisanship.

This was their biggest complaint. They were very upset that the Senate Republicans decided not to hold a vote for Merrick Garland, although it was unlikely that he would have even been confirmed, which is why the vote wasn’t held. They then complained that Kavanagh was rushed in and that they didn’t have enough information about him. Keep in mind that Kavanagh released thousands of pages of documents about him, and was interviewed for hours on end. It continues.

Not Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who tainted the process by bringing forward damaging allegations against Judge Kavanaugh only at the last minute.

Not the F.B.I., which either of its own volition or because of constraints imposed by Republicans failed to interview many of the key witnesses who could speak to the accusations against Judge Kavanaugh.

Basically the piece goes on how Brett Kavanagh is a perjurer because he was vague about drinking in high school. Now here’s a piece about Biden which is titled, The Times Took 19 Days To Report An Accusation Against Biden. Here’s Why. By: Ben Smith. Here’s what it says.

On March 25, Tara Reade, a former Senate aide for Joseph R. Biden Jr., alleged in an interview on a podcast that Mr. Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, had sexually assaulted her in 1993.

The New York Times did not immediately report the allegation.

The timing of the article has been questioned by critics who say that a delay was a way to play down allegations against Mr. Biden in the midst of a race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Mr. Biden’s allies, who strenuously deny Ms. Reade’s accusation, believe her allegation is not supported strongly enough to publish at all.

Oh, it was just that they didn’t think allegation was supported enough to publish anything about it.

Look, I get the argument. Just do a short, straightforward news story. But I’m not sure that doing this sort of straightforward news story would have helped the reader understand. Have all the information he or she needs to think about what to make of this thing.

They just wanted to be careful with this allegation and take it as seriously as possible. Never mind that they did the exact opposite with Kavanagh, but you’re supposed to ignore that.

Of course, the reason for this double standard is because Biden is a Democrat. I promise you, if Biden were a Republican, the new york times would have responded much differently. Now, this doesn’t mean that I think Biden is most definitely guilty, it just simply means that the media is a flaming pile of garbage and have lost all credibility.
